The Capu Rossu, the second new ship powered by Liquefied Natural Gas to join the CORSICA linea fleet, will be delivered in March 2026. It will make its first crossings on the Corsican lines from the 2026 season.

Its arrival marks a key step in the creation of a new low-carbon fleet, contributing to a more environmentally friendly "Corsica - Mainland" maritime public service, both for the transport of passengers and goods.

The integration of the Capu Rossu is fully in line with CORSICA linea's decarbonization strategy, which aims for a 40% reduction in its CO₂ emissions by 2030, with the ambition of achieving carbon neutrality by 2040.

A name inspired by mountain peaks

This ship is named after an emblematic red granite promontory which majestically overlooks the Gulf of Porto, in the heart of the Calanche de Piana in Corsica. By naming it Capu Rossu , CORSICA linea pays homage to the strength, indomitable beauty and deep soul of the island.

The Capu Rossu has 234 cabins accommodating up to four people, including 20 "luxury" cabins with double beds. The ship also features six specially designed cabins for passengers with reduced mobility. Finally, a 76-seat lounge is also available on board.
