Access to the port
At the heart of the Autonomous Port of Marseille and near the “Vieux Port” and the Docks of the Joliette, you can join your ship from one of the three following accesses for the check-in control and embarkation:
- Port of the Joliette for the foot passengers
- Gate “Chanterac” for the ships “P. Paoli”, “P. Orba”, “M. d’Oro”, “D. Casanova” and “Méditerranée”
- Gate 4 via “Cap Janet” for the ship J. Nicoli
- Metro line 2, Joliette station
- Tramway line 2, Joliette station

Access gate « Chanterac »
After Vitrolles, leave the A7 to go to A55 (direction “Marseille Vieux Port”). Drive 8km and take the exit 4 (Arenc). Follow the signs “Gare Maritime” until the entry “Porte Chanterac”
A7 Aix en Provence Lyon Nice
Take the direction “5 Avenue Menpenti”. Keep to the right, follow the A557 “Arenc Gare Maritime”. Leave the road to Arenc and follow the” Boulevard Ferdinand de Lesseps”. Once at the end of the road, turn to the left and take the first road to the right. At the roundabout, turn to the left and pass ahead the “Docks du Sud”. Follow the direction of “Les Ports, Porte Chanterac”. Take the second road to the right. The access to the port is at the roundabout.
A50 Aubagne Toulon Nice
Leave the “Prado Carenage” Tunnel taking the last exit “Les Ports” and follow the signs to go to Porte Chanterac.
Access to gate « Cap Janet »
A55 Lyon Montpellier
After Vitrolles, leave the A7 to go to A55 (direction Marseille Vieux Port). Take the exit 5 (Les ports – porte 7) Follow the signs “Cap Janet”
A51 Aix en Provence Nice
Leave the A71 through A7, taking the direction of Estaque (A55). Take the exit 5 heading to “Les Ports porte 4). Follow the sign “Cap Janet”
